The City of Paris provides water and sewer services to city residents. The City’s Water Department is responsible for reading water meters, preparation of water bills, receipt of payments and customer inquiries.
Deposits
Water and Sewer service activation is completed at the Utility Billing Department at City Hall located at 206 S. Central Avenue. A deposit of $50 for property owners and a deposit of $75 for renters will be required for service to be activated. Deposits for accounts other than renters will be returned, if the owner has maintained the account on a current basis for a period of at least 14 consecutive months. Deposits for renters will be held as long as the customer remains a renter or 5 years. Commercial accounts are not required to maintain a deposit.
