Mayor Smith called the regular meeting of the Paris City Council to order at 6:30 PM. Richard Yates said the opening prayer. Present on roll call were Commissioners Boyer, Branson, Kemper, Hughes and Mayor Smith.
The Pledge of Allegiance was repeated in unison.
PETITIONS, CORRESPONDENCE, AWARDS
Presentation from Dave Kirsch of Milk Specialties: they need confined space certification so they presented a check for $5800 to the Paris Fire Department for the tuition needed for training so they can certify the employees of Milk Specialties.

Commissioner Branson moved for approval of the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Boyer seconded the motion. Included on the consent agenda was the approval of the minutes of the April 23, 2012 regular meeting, bills paid previously $162,157.90, bills to be paid $414,199.63 and salaries $129,835.75. All answered aye on roll call, no nays.
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTION Approving Memorial Day Service for American Legion---Commissioner Boyer introduced and moved to adopt the resolution, Commissioners Branson seconded the motion. Commissioner Branson moved to waive the reading, Commissioner Hughes seconded the motion. All answered aye on roll call for both motions.
RESOLUTION Authorizing Engagement Letter for Auditing Services with James D. Motley, CPA---Commissioner Hughes introduced and moved to adopt the resolution, Commissioner Branson seconded the motion. All answered aye on roll call, no nays.

Information: There will be a thermal camera demonstration at Krogers on Saturday, June 2 from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Information: There will be a propane burn training exercise at the Training Center on May 30th at 6 PM.
Information: There will be a grain bin rescue training exercise on June 23rd at 8 AM at the Training Center.
Commissioner Branson:
Motion to approve lease of two mowers for the Parks Department at the cost of $14,160 including trade-in. Commissioner Branson moved to approve the lease, Commissioner Boyer seconded the motion. All answered aye on roll call, no nays.
